I just love it when the "holier-than-tho" get on a bashing bandwagon... it shows exactly their nature....
I could have easily sought to expunge my past, but everything I went through has made me who and what I am today... so what is better... to be a sneak and a liar and sit nicely in the pocket of developers and the rich and do their bidding, pretending to be decent, or in being a good person trying to do their best...

In order to give you a real history of everything, let me get into some details.....
First of all, the screw up in the date of birth is the result of Florida's wonderful bureaucratic system. It took a long time to get them to fix it. It was their mistake, and it took a certified copy of my birth certificate from NJ to get it corrected. A regular copy wasn't good enough. I tried long ago and it became such a pain in the ass that I just stopped trying.

In 1984 I was living in Long Branch, NJ, and was invited by a friend to go to Ft. Lauderdale to work, because in the marine trades you don't work in the winter in Jersey. I drove down there with him, but he took his brothers car, and having no idea of that I went out for smokes, got a flat tire, and was arrested for the car. I proved to Broward my case and it was supposed to have been dropped. (I was not getting any hyelp, explained the case to the judge, who told me he'd put me on probation and if I sent proof that I came to Florida with Bill's brother to work that they would drop and quash the case. I went back to Jersey, got a certified affidavit from the car owner that his brother stole his car and I didn't know it, sent that to broward and thought the crap was done and over with as I was promised.
In 1989 I came to Florida, and not long after getting here was a victim of theft. I was staying at the Beaches. Being broke, and having all my stuff stolen, I left where I was staying and was homeless, living in my car. I parked at a tire shop at 1 am and was using their water to fill my radiator, and was checked out by cops, that was the petty theft, for water from a hose in the open at a tire shop at 1 am at the Beaches... and they found the warrant on me which I had no idea existed before I was released.
I got it cleared up and dropped after a nice trip down there, and when I got back my car and everything I owned was gone. All I got from Broward was a "we're sorry".
I worked my ass off and got back on my feet, working as a roofer, met my wife at the Crab Pot, went to work for Mandarin Marine, who screwed me, then started working for myself, usually sub-contracting.
My wife and I got a place on Poppy Drive on the Westside, and in 1991 I was in an accident that broke my wrist and finger. After one cast came off, I had surgery and another one went on. For six months I couldn't work, and was about to lose my home when I floated checks to try to keep lights on and not get evicted. There was NO safety net for me, and I tried everything to stay afloat. My wrist was broken by defective equipment at a service station, but you see, JEA and the landlord didn't care about that. I tried everything but had nothing left, did something stupid, and paid for it. If you pay close attention to the judgements you'll see a bunch for University Hospital... all from the broken wrist, and all eventually paid.

The tickets that all go together was from a 1977 military surplus pickup truck, I had one cop one night on Roosevelt write me an improper tag ticket for having the legal tag in the window, because the truck didn't have a bumper, and I got a ticket for headlight out, and whatever else he could write. After the wrist being broken, I couldn't afford to pay them, and got suspended for failure to pay.

These problems come from a lack of money that all started when I broke my wrist, and could have been easily expunged by now. Most tickets were justified, but a few weren't.
The floating checks to stay head above water was just pure desperation and stupidity, but I didn't screw anybody but myself in that.
The aka was an error created by Broward in that mess. I didn't have my license with me and they used the car's owner instead of listening to me... by the way, I told them back then that I was not the owner, just using the car to go to the store, where to find him, and everything, but they did nothing to find him or help me, so if you think cops always do the right or honest thing, don't believe it. The broward cops were simply too lazy to do the work, and if they had they would of had the guy who took his brother's car, and I would of worked the winter down in Ft Lauderdale instead of being milled in the system.
But when you're 24 no one really listens to you much.

She called the cops, one of whom laughed at it. But Judy wouldn't shut her mouth when the female cop told her to and we both got arrested. I was offered to take time served or to sit in jail and wait for trial unable to meet bail... The contempt was failure to complete the course in time because I was working in Savannah.

I did have insurance, just no card with me, thank you, my critics....

This was after an argument with my wife, and it's a long story. This I did. It is a long story. It deals with a company called EconoSweep and how they would violate rule 4.214 and operate backback blowers in the middle of the night. Last year they knew the city wasn't enforcing at night and started using blowers at 3 am again, and I went over to get their tage number and report them again, and after some words the guy kicked my car and told me to buy some fcking ear plugs, so when I went to get the tag # I found my son's pocket knife and I took down his tire.
I got no fines and no fees for it.
THE CURRENT thing I am going to court over is this asshole saying I vandalized his truck, and they have no case because I didn't do it....
I could go on, but I dare anyone to find anyone I have hurt or lied to.

I have a wife who suffers from degenerative disc and depression, and I have had a broken wrist and now have a bad back. I have lived paycheck to paycheck for years, just keeping my head above water. Despite these things, I have started a school garden, fought to keep Normandy Elementary open, was president of my community assicoiation, am fighting to save Station Five and have done much for my community and people in it.
I live in pain and keep working. I live on the edge and still do things for my community. What you may see on paper may not always reflect the reality of what actually happened. I don't think you will ever catch me in a lie, because I am man enough not to lie. I keep my word to people, and I don't screw people over.
My biggest crime is being broke and not having a pot to piss in.
I could have expounged my record before deciding to run, but it is the sum total of my experiences, both good and bad, and what I have done wrong as much as all I've done right, that have made me who I am.
You can think whatever the hell you want, but corrupt is something I am not.

So think whatever you want, because it doesn't change who I am or that I am proud of who I am. It might just be a good thing that an outsider steps up and gets counted for once.

So for those of you so bold and smug to talk about someone you have never talked to face to face, screw yourselves.... The people will do the talking at the polls.
At least I don't hide who I am or lie. You see, any punk can bash someone they've never sat down and talked to, maybe it makes them feel better about their stupid little lives. There are some things I'm not proud of, and many more things that never would have been a problem if I didn't suffer adversity or made stupid mistakes that have followed me....
